Formation of the Eighth Board of Directors of the Union

• At the Union’s Board of Directors meeting, session No. (9) dated 13/3/2001, the Board decided to invite the Ordinary General Assembly on Saturday, 21/4/2001, to review the agenda and hold elections for the Union’s Board of Directors.
• At the Ordinary General Assembly meeting of the Union on 21/4/2001, the elections were held, and the following candidates were elected unopposed:
  The remaining four seats were contested, and the winners were:
• • Mr. Mohamed Mohamed Ali El-Feki — representing the Eastern Mediterranean area (Port Said and North Sinai governorates)
  • Mr. Awad Mohamed Marzouk — representing the Gulf of Suez, Red Sea, South Sinai, and Merah Lakes area
  • Mr. Hassan Ali El-Qashawy — representing the Central Mediterranean area (Damietta governorate)
  • Mr. Mohamed Helmy El-Rais — representing Lake Manzala
  • Mr. Mostafa Mahmoud Youssef — representing Lake Qarun, Wadi El-Nil, and inland waters of Giza and Beni Suef governorates
  • Mr. El-Araby Mahmoud El-Soghayar — representing Lake Nasser, Nile River, and inland waters of Aswan governorate
  • Mr. Mohamed Gouda El-Sayed — representing the Cooperative Society for Fish Farming
  • Mr. Eid Selim Aslim — representing all fishing areas
• • Mr. El-Sayed Hanafi Mahmoud Fteha — representing the Western Mediterranean, Matrouh, and Lake Mariout
  • Mr. Abd Rabbo El-Sayed El-Ghazairly — representing Lake Burullus and Kafr El-Sheikh associations operating in the Mediterranean
  • Mr. Abd El-Rady Abd El-Megid Ahmed — representing the Nile River and inland waters in Upper Egypt (from Assiut to Qena)
  • Mr. El-Sayed El-Sayed Mahmoud El-Shewahy — representing the Nile River and inland waters in Lower Egypt

• At the Union’s Board of Directors meeting, session No. (11) dated 23/4/2001, it was unanimously decided to form the Union’s executive office as follows:
